Interview with Autoerotique about his festival trip to Prague!

Autoerotique is a Canadian Basshouse DJ and Producer, based in Toronto. He is known for his collaboration with Diplo Waist Time, his single Run For Cover and many more! He also releases his tracks on Skrillex´s label OWSLA!

We have made a special interview for you guys! So SIT DOWN, TAKE A BEER AND READ!

Was that your first visit of Czech Republic?
No. A few years ago I played in a club called “The Red Hat”. It was crazy and I think it was my first time.

How much time did you spend in Prague or in Czech Republic at all?
I landed, took a nap, DJ’d and was back on a plane right after my set. So not a lot of time to be honest!

So you didn´t visit many place in Prague?
No, only the airport, hotel and venue… (lol)

How did you enjoy the festival?
LOVED IT !!! That was so different and the energy was so good.

Would you like to return to Czech Republic for another gig or maybe for holiday with friends/family?
Of course, from what I remember from my last trip it was really a really beautiful city and cheap beers!

Do you know any Czech person or Czech DJ?
Only the homies I met this time!

Do you know anything typical for Czech Republic? (food, place, person…)
I ate a burrito from Los Loco but other than that I’ve had perogie/dumpling type things that were amazing. Oh! Also Dill Potato Salad!

Do you know any Czech words?
Nada.

Do you like alcohol especially beer? Have you tried Czech beer?
I do. I had a tasting of a lot of Czech beers the last time I was over. I even went to a micro-brewery and drank way too much. (lol.)

Have you got any unreleased song, which you will release soon? If yes, when are you going to release them?
Just put out a track with the homies BROHUG called “BRAINS”.
Other than that we have a few on the testing table – we shall see…

Have you got any hidden talents?
All my talents are trade secrets.

Have you got any other hobbies than music?
Video games, exercise and long bike rides.

Any rituals before your show, flight, sleep…
Usually a long look in the mirror to make sure I’m and everything is still real.

Your favorite dj / producer?
Hard to say to be honest.

How did you get to music? Who helped you? Who is your inspiration?
It’s a long story but MSTRKRFT were a big part of it.
Have you got any favorite place/festival /club, where you always like to return?
I love it everywhere because people are different and every place has their own atmosphere.

Have you got something what you would like to tell to your fans?
Never give up and don’t look back!
